DECEASED CYGNETS AT STONYDELPH LAKES |
||
|
In the past two weeks we have found two deceased cygnets at Stonydelph lakes that have displayed no signs of being attacked. The cause of death is currently unknown but there is potential that it may be Avian Flu. This has been reported to the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) and we will await an update from them in due course. Hopefully the situation is not as serious as feared. However, in the meantime we recommend people keep dogs on leads if walking around the lakes and adhere to the government advice around Avian Flu.
